We are excited to announce SHURI’S LAB, a youth-centered lab that teaches tech, science, building, and research. This program is inspired by Princess Shuri, the brilliant mind behind Wakanda’s advanced technology and education culture in the Black Panther comics.
This season, we are collaborating with local maker-space, The Foundry, to explore the world of agriculture through hydroponics and aquaponics! Youth involved will learn the history of agriculture from the African Diaspora as well as how agriculture is evolving for the future. SHURI’S LAB will be instructed by handful of talented minds, including engineer and award-winning computer programmer, Keiah Shauku.
